Joaquín Fernández is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter and medicine music facilitator with nine years of practice across Latin America and Europe. His compositions, gathered in the album Caminando (four records named after the elements Fire, Earth, Air and Water), are the heart of his gatherings: singing circles, sound journeys and retreats that bring together mate, ceremonial cacao and indigenous-rooted practices.

Having walked the path of native plant-based healing alongside Amazonian masters, he brings his music to spaces of transformation in nine countries.

01 · Collective singing

Singing Circle

A collective experience of song and presence · 1.5 to 2 hours

A space to sing medicine songs together. Original compositions from the album Caminando that work with the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water.

No musical experience needed. Each song comes with its story, its lyrics and its melody: you learn by listening, sing by repeating, feel by sharing.

02 · Deep listening

Sound Journey

Guided meditation through song · 1.5 to 2 hours

A deep listening experience where live music and breath accompany an inner journey. Participants surrender to the sound (voice and guitar) while Joaquín guides the journey with his compositions and silences.

No active singing, no technique required: just the willingness to be present.

03 · Ceremony

Medicine Circle

Ceremony with cacao and/or rapé · 2 to 3 hours

A gathering that brings together sacred plants (ceremonial cacao, rapé) with live music, breath and song. The space combines the rigor of a ceremony with the warmth of a community circle.

For communities with prior experience working with teacher plants, or open to that path.
